Rapid - Entry Career Training

Our Rapid-Entry program does exactly what its name says.  Its focus is on preparing an individual for entry into a new career in HVAC/Refrigeration in the quickest time frame possible.  That means all of the training is focused on the knowledge, the certification, and hands-on skill that an individual needs to be ready for immediate entry-level employment.

Our Rapid-Entry program is designed for the individual that wants the benefit of committing to 4 weeks of intensive training to get the career-specific opportunity that our graduates receive.  In working with local and regional employers and industry professionals, the program is focused on five key elements to get an individual trained, certified, and on the job:

  • Knowledge: The core curriculum is provided by the Refrigeration Service Engineer’s Society (RSES) and is designed to take a student from introduction to refrigeration to a solid, workable knowledge base.  In the classroom our students work with experienced instructors as they learn step-by-step.
  • Skill: Skill is developed with hands-on training.  In our training labs and with our instructors, our students apply their new knowledge in practical real-world situations including troubleshooting, equipment installation, refrigerant recharges, soldering and brazing, and more.
  • Confidence: To be successful on the job, you need to have confidence in your abilities.  This is accomplished for our students by hands-on training and practice every day until the confidence needed has been attained.
  • Certification: While in training, a student will sit for their EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.  It is this certification that is required by most employers and allows an individual to work with the Freon associated with air conditioning and refrigeration.
  • Opportunity: To take advantage of this new career, our graduates work with our Career Placement Department to create, identify, and follow-through on opportunities for employment.
